• Contentment and Dharma practice is the greatest wealth.
  • The purpose of concentration is controlling the mind.
  • What is the most important part of practicing Buddhism? Benefiting all sentient beings.
  • It’s all about faith. Faith generates energy and inspires us to practice.
  • Practicing Buddhism means learning how to make use of wholesome factors in life to improve one’s character.
  • With the advent of globalization, the most important thing is sharing!
  • The natural world is the Buddha Dharma. They are perfectly compatible.
  • Mental knots are also an opportunity for awakening.

    The University of World Religions

Master Hsin Tao advocates education for a new era, as well as the revival of the “spirit of Nalanda.” He envisions an educational program which combines the traditional Buddhist emphasis on the systematic integration of theory and practice with the subjects of modern education as a way of bringing together the best aspects of East and West.

Thus the master plan of the Ling Jiou Mountain Buddhist Society includes three educational institutes: 1) The Triyāna Buddhist College aims to provide Buddhist missionaries and researchers with a global vision and a solid grounding in practice. 2) The Wisdom Heritage College is an interactive program that will join together lay disciple training and social education. 3) The University of World Religions is designed to implement an educational system which integrates the teachings of the three main schools of Buddhism into higher education and research in order to cultivate high-quality, multi-cultural religious and professional talent.

The Global Family for Peace and Love

. In 2001 Master Hsin Tao founded the Global Family for Peace and Love (GFLP), an international nonprofit organization which promotes interreligious cooperation, participates in the preservation of sacred sites, and engages in international disaster relief efforts. Based on the ideas of respect, tolerance, and loving kindness, the GFLP promotes environmental protection, and the harmonious coexistence of all living beings to create a "Global Family for Peace and Love."

    The Burma NGO Project

War creates poverty and orphans, resulting in a vicious cycle which is very difficult to break. Only by sowing the seeds of peace, promoting educational reform, and integrating spiritual cultivation and practical social service will it be possible to have long-term peace in the world.

In order to assist the many orphans and poor children of Burma, Ling Jiou Mountain's GFLP has established the Dayu Nursery, the Yangen Orphanage, and the Saṅgha Overseas Study Program. The GFLP has also started the Nongman Farm which uses sustainable agricultural practices to provide impoverished farmers with increased employment opportunities, and has also helped the Children's Education Project to attain economic self sufficiency.
